My interest in Oriental Martial Arts led me to China in 2001
to attended the 7th Annual Shaolin Wushu festival. We also visited
Wudan Mountain where we were fortunate enough to meet Zhong Yun
Long, head priest of the Wudang Daoist Martial Arts School.
After graduating, I moved back to China to work for a year. Based
out of Shanghai, I travelled throughout a most of China. I was
so impressed by the diversity of the people and land there. Learning
the language and being able to communicate with the locals made
everything so much more interesting.

This
interest, combined with a business education has given rise to a
keen and strong appreciation of the significance China holds on
an international level. The coming years will be very important
for the country, and I look forward to being involved in both the
cultural and economic development of the country.
